My faith in humanity remains strong

The human race was put on trial today. A jury needed to deliver a verdict that would recognize our species as rational and logical creatures fit to exist in this universe. While the jury was chosen at random, their role in this cataclysmic event would be pivotal. Similar situations had occurred in the past, and the chosen juries had not always made the right decision. However, this was the most important to date, a wrong verdict would have been enough to send my respect for my fellow humans crashing down into the lowest trenches of the Pacific.

However, the jury came through, and made sure that Lillian was not the winner of Survivor: Pearl Islands. For those who never watched the season, Lillian was the worst quivering mass of stupidity to ever appear on a television screen. To give her a million dollars would have been final proof of the inability of our species to weed out the bad apples.

Thankfully though, it didn't happen. Hallelujah!
